Curly Blackwood Soprano

My 13 year old niece contacted me asking how much would one of my ukuleles cost so she could start saving up for one as there weren't any nice ones available where she lived. So the only thing to do was build one for her right away and hopefully get it to her for Christmas 2020 if the Post Office stepped up their game.

Constructed from some single piece off cuts of Australian Blackwood that I've been saving for soprano projects. Sapwood bindings from the same tree. Ebony fret board, peg head veneers and bridge. Gotoh open back machine heads and for a little extra color I used some black / teal / black purflings.

Finished in a high gloss.
